Steam rooms have many therapeutic benefits; they are good for blood circulation and can cleanse and rejuvenate the skin.

They are also good for relieving muscle tension and promoting a feeling of relaxation and well-being.
Some people find the dry heat of a sauna to be uncomfortable to breathe thus making the steam room a more enjoyable option for them.

Those with respiratory problems like Asthma and Sinus congestion may find the steam room of more benefit than the sauna.
Steam rooms have a constant humidity level of around 100% and are kept about 40 degrees Celsius

 

Steam rooms are good for your skin as they increase blood circulation. The sweating induced removes dirt and grime from the pores and can give the skin a healthy glow. Steam rooms can help eliminate the body of toxins and boost your immune system. Increased metabolism can also be achieved from steam room sessions. Steam is also great in the aid of lymph detoxification.
The Steam rooms can be used with the cold plunge pool as a cleansing treatment by using the two facilities in a cycle. The cycle consists of 5mins steam room time and then 5mins in the cold plunge pool and can be repeated as many times as you like but it is recommended that you start with a 30min session involving three cycles. The cycle can be extended to an hour session involving three cycles of 10mins steam room and 10mins in the cold plunge pool.
You must drink plenty of water whilst using both steam rooms and saunas to avoid becoming dehydrated. This will also help to ensure your system is completely cleansed and detoxified.
